Atlanta dancers unite for Haiti earthquake relief performance, Saturday at 7 Stages

by Cynthia Bond Perry | Jan 25, 2010

In response to the earthquake in Haiti, Zoetic Dance Ensemble will present “Relief Work,” an evening of contemporary dance benefiting the efforts of the American Red Cross.

Organized on the fly, with nearly all costs donated, Zoetic director Melanie Lynch Blanchard has rallied together creative forces of local performing groups, including Agnes Scott College’s Studio Dance Theatre, UGA choreographer/filmmaker Mallory Baxley, Blake Dalton/Crossover Movement Arts, brooks & company dance, 7 Stages/Negusworld, Redemption Dance Theater, Sideways Dance Company, Staibdance and T. Lang.

The performance is Saturday, Jan. 30, at 7 Stages Theater in Atlanta’s Little Five Points neighborhood.

Here’s a link for tickets. They can also be purchased at the door, cash or cheque only, $20 or $15 for students.
